The Republic Act
The Republic Act is a punk band from the Philippines (Pinoy Punk or Filipino Punk) That plays mostly political & rebellious songs. It is composed of three members. Israel Padua (A-A) on Bass Guitar / Vocals, Mark Quirvien Cristobal (Tobats) on Rythm / Lead Guitar / Vocals and Mario Abalos (Yong) on Drums.
The Republic Act was formed at 2004. Mario Abalos (Yong) from the city of Marikina and Mark Quirvien Cristobal (Vhin / Tobats) from Valenzula city were classmates during college while Israel Padua (A-A) from Bulacan was Tobats' cousin.
At first, The Republic Act cover songs from The Ramones like Blitzkrieg Bop and Rock 'n Roll Radio, NOFX's The Brews, Punk Rock Love and For the Punx by The Casualties and Time Bomb by Rancid. We also play some pinoy punk rock songs like Sikat na si Pedro by the Philippine Violators, Urban Bandits' No Future sa Pader, Maling Sistema by Bad Omen and Damn You People by the legendary G.I. + the Idiots.
Currently, the band has only 2 compositions, Bomba and Mendiola (Sineskwela Cover). Both songs are fast and aggressive.
At present, the band stops playing but when it comes to their beliefs, the band are still fucking united.

The Republic Act Overheats!
This is what supposed to be an exciting Baguio trip that turns into one bad fucking trip.
Friday early-morning at North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) 1km away from Angeles. The Republic Act and the rest of the gang stops, and never starts running again.
